Teens Against Gender Mutilation Rally Posted Online at EventBrite

A Turning Point USA (TPUSA) Faith chapter in Tennessee is advertising its ‘Teens Against Gender Mutilation Rally’ in Murfreesboro next month on the online ticket and event platform EventBrite despite the platform’s recent history of removing events that it sees as controversial.

EventBrite has come under fire in the past for abruptly removing events from its platform – including those hosted by TPUSA – citing violations of community guidelines.

The online event and ticket website removed the listing event for TPUSA’s student chapter at Western Kentucky University’s watch party in September for Matt Walsh’s documentary, “What Is a Woman,” claiming the event promoted violence.

“We do not permit events, content, or creators that promote or encourage hate, violence, or harassment towards others and/or oneself,” the email sent to TPUSA read at the time, according to a press release by the organization.

In addition, last year The Tennessee Star reported on EventBrite deplatforming a Tennessee Eagle Forum COVID-19 event, with officials telling the group that they do not permit people to share or promote “potentially harmful misinformation” on its platform.

TPUSA Faith is an affiliate of Turning Point USA focusing on “engaging, equipping, and empowering Christians to change the trajectory of our nation,” according to its website.

TPUSA Faith Field Representative Nicole Herschberger predicted on The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy that the event for the ‘Teens Against Gender Mutilation Rally’ will be removed from EventBrite in one or two days due to the platform’s censorship of the “conservative movement and anti-left ideology.”

TPUSA Faith had intended on hosting a pro-life rally, however, considering the recent news surrounding the LGBTQ movement, drag shows, and gender-affirming procedures in Tennessee, Rutherford County TPUSA Chapter President Hannah Faulkner collaborated with Herschberger to plan a ‘Teens Against Gender Mutilation’ rally.

The rally is scheduled for Saturday, January 28th at 2:00 ET. The rally will be held at City Court in Murfreesboro, located at 111 West Vine Street. Speakers will include 18 year old de-transitioner Chloe Cole who will be speaking on the dangers of subjecting minors to gender affirmation surgeries and procedures, among others yet to be announced.

The event is free, however, TPUSA Faith asks those planning on attending to reserve tickets at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/teens-against-gender-mutilation-rally-murfreesboro-tickets-485521647317.
